18-19 June 2025 Amaliegade 6, CopenhagenClaymen travelled to Copenhagen this summer as part of a group show called Crafting New Design Narratives, where we showcased a project titled In Transit, in partnership with White labelproject. A quiet space nestled in the middle of the city. This wasn’t a grand arrival. No elaborate build-up. No spectacle. Just a soft landing. The show brought together a group of Claymen figures that felt paused — somewhere in the middle of things. Between arrival and departure. Between emotions. Between meaning and ambiguity. Some were still in crates. Others had made their way out, onto tables, into corners, onto shelves marked “fragile.”All of them were somewhere in between. That was the point. The idea behind In Transit came from a simple truth:Most of us are in the middle of something.A waiting period. A shift. An unresolved thought.Claymen carry that same hesitation, caught mid-motion, mid-feeling, mid-existence. Over the course of four days, visitors trickled in, locals, artists, collectors, the curious and the kind. Some stayed briefly. Some stayed long. But nearly all stayed quietly. There was something about the stillness of the work that seemed to ask for it. Founder Aman Khanna was present throughout — not as a host, not as a spokesperson, but as an observer. He moved through the space lightly, accompanying the figures rather than presenting them.It didn’t feel like a typical exhibition. It felt like a shared pause, a moment suspended between two points.
