1–4 May 2025 JeddahHosted by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation.Claymen was specially invited to be part of the MADE Design Forum in Jeddah, hosted by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation—joining a curated group of artists and designers from around the world. Titled Silent Conversations, the exhibition gathered a quiet assembly of figures—caught mid-thought, mid-feeling, mid-existence. These are not sculptures that shout. They do not declare. They pause. They listen. They wait. Some forms felt familiar—almost archetypal. Others remained unresolved, much like the thoughts we carry. They spoke in gestures, glances, and stillness—not just in dialogue with the space around them, but also with the people observing. These were the conversations we often have with ourselves—dissecting ideas, drifting into memory, spiralling into imagined scenarios. Sometimes we find clarity. Sometimes we don't. The palette reflected this interiority: matte surfaces that absorbed the gaze, glossy ones that deflected it, and chrome that returned it—sometimes a little too truthfully. This wasn’t a collection in the traditional sense. It felt more like a moment suspended in air. A quiet coming together of forms that held space for the questions we don’t always ask aloud.Over the course of four days, the response was both generous and intimate. Many visitors shared how deeply the pieces resonated with them—and many sculptures found thoughtful new homes. The exhibition may be over, but the conversations still linger.
